High School Choir Fundraising

I was recently talking with a friend who’s son is in his school choir. He talked about the fundraisers that the school choir was doing and how much he hated the fundraisers. In fact, he told his son that he wouldn’t be participating in selling that “cheap crap” and made his son take it back.

This friend knew of my fundraising website and asked me if it would work for a high school choir. He then told me how the choir needed to raise $20,000 for the acoustic panels that go behind the choir when they sing. After I recovered from hearing the cost for a choir to purchase these items, I told him that Giving Square would be a GREAT way for a high school choir or really a choir of any sort to raise money.

My friend told me that there were 300 members of the various choirs at this school. That would mean that each choir member would only need to raise $67 to reach their fundraising goal of $20,000. Since the average contribution per supporter is $48 so far, that means each choir member would only need to find 2 people willing to contribute on average.

This is what we’re talking about at Giving Square when we talk about really changing the way that choirs, bands, dance teams, sports organizations, etc raise money.
